What Price Fame -- Chapter I: A Professor Becomes Useful

Bonnie, 16 years old

 Dear Readers,

In a letter written on Jan. 8, 1961, Bonnie wrote about having an idea for a play.  This reminded me that many years prior, she had hand-written and bound a small book on her own, and I think you'll enjoy reading it.  Bonnie was 16 years old and the year was 1936.  You will see her 1st grade photograph, "the author as a child" and I have no idea why she chose the pen name, Rita Kiles.  Today, enjoy Chapter I and others will be posted daily along with a few photos of B and Bonnie in their teen years.

Tomorrow, some thrilling moments?
